Project Overview
Shams Imperial is MCG at full resort scale — a complete interior world spanning lounges, restaurants, bars, guest rooms and public spaces. The brief was breadth without dilution: every venue given its own character, yet all held together by a coherent, sun-washed Mediterranean language. From an elegant VIP lounge to a barefoot pool bar, the resort reads as one designed experience.
Design Philosophy
The style is layered Mediterranean resort luxury. Cream, timber, stone and coastal blues move from formal lounge to barefoot pool bar without ever losing their thread — a masterclass in designing variety within one identity.
Key Features
Lounges with Presence
The VIP lounge blends classical detail — arched windows, wainscoting, wrought-iron balustrades — with contemporary bouclé seating and a branded stone-and-timber bar. The terrace lounge is brighter and more relaxed, layering rattan pendants, bouclé sofas and sea views into an easy, resort-luxe welcome.
A Table for Every Mood
Dining ranges across three distinct venues: a characterful “Cucina Italiana” trattoria with a tiled pizza counter and herringbone floors; a bright, botanical coffee shop beneath a palm-mural feature wall; and a pergola-shaded pool bar of woven ceilings, climbing bougainvillea and crazy-paved stone. One resort, a whole day of atmospheres.
Suites with a Coastal Palette
The superior rooms introduce a fresh teal-and-aqua palette — an ombré feature wall, a tufted headboard, a curved bouclé sofa and a compact kitchenette — while standard rooms keep the same calm, contemporary coastal feel. Comfortable, bright and unmistakably Red Sea.
Design Down to the Washroom
Public washrooms are treated as designed spaces in their own right, with warm materials, botanical art and considered lighting — completing a guest experience that never drops its standard, front-of-house to back.
